The LCBA League Rules cover these within League Rule 7.

Teams of Four:

The wording below which is in accord with EBU regulations and guidelines for similar matches should be treated as an appendix to the various competition rules.

"Should a team arrive more than 15 minutes late, its opponents have the following rights:

(a) After one hour (#) of un-notified late arrival, or two hours (#) of notified late arrival, the match is awarded to the non-offending side.

'Notification' may (obviously) be by message; but the presence of even a single member of the team is deemed to indicate an intention to play and constitutes 'notification' in the context of this rule.

# In 24 board matches these times are reduced respectively to 45 and 90 minutes and the sets are of 6 boards.

(b) For each completed 15 minutes delay within a scheduled play period, the match is to be reduced by two boards, awarding the non-offending side 3 IMPs (100 points if aggregate scored matches) per board. Only the initial stanza is shortened, removing board one onwards, leaving full standard stanza of 8 (or 6) boards thereafter.

(c) If both teams are late the match shall be curtailed according to the time interval of the latest arrival after the other side became complete, again with the award of 3 IMPs (or 100 points) per board removed and boards being removed from board one onwards etc., or if the time difference is greater than one hour un-notified or two hours notified, the match being awarded in accordance with item (a)."

(Similar regulations apply in matches in centrally organized events)
