In the Final of the Leicestershire Cup Barbara Swann's team defeated Tony Kitson's team in the tightest of matches.

Barbara Swann's team were 1300 aggregate points down after the first stanza, pulled approximately 500 back in the second stanza but were still approximately 560 points down as they went into the final stanza. Tony Kitson's team having been in the lead for three quarters of the match, finally lost by 150 aggregate points. Funny game Bridge.
